FAMILIES in Eastbourne are set for a splashing start to the February half term as the Sovereign Centre’s popular leisure pool re-opens with a refreshed look, extended hours and a host of brand‑new interactive water play features.
After a period of enhancement works, the shallow end of the pool now boasts an array of engaging additions designed to delight younger swimmers. Children can explore a bright underwater‑themed interactive wall filled with moving parts and water jets, offering both tactile and visual stimulation.
The area also features a brand‑new toddler slide and an exciting interactive mast complete with a large wheel arm, tipping bucket, and pipefall arms to keep little ones entertained.
The reopening also comes with extended weekday hours, with the leisure pool now open from 09:00–12:30 and 15:30–18:30. The ever‑popular Big Wave Night—featuring waves, music and the flume—will continue every Friday from 17:45–19:15.
Weekend and holiday sessions have been extended to 1.5 hours, with opening times from 09:00–19:00. Visitors during the school holidays can also enjoy the Aqua Splash inflatable assault course, available every day, with access to the leisure pool included in the ticket.
