EMERGENCY services rushed to the A27 this morning after a cement mixer crashed on the eastbound carriageway near the Drusillas (Berwick) roundabout.
The collision happened at around 9.30am, with police, paramedics and fire crews responding to the scene. One man was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries.
Sussex Police said no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
The eastbound stretch of the A27 remains closed between Beddingham and Polegate, causing significant delays for motorists. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes while emergency teams continue their work.
