FESTIVELY decorated vehicles will take to Eastbourne’s streets this December as the Wheelie Big Vehicle Rally returns to raise money for St Wilfrid’s Hospice and Marie Curie.
Registration has opened for the fifth annual rally, organised by Morrisons, which takes place on Sunday, December 6.
Drivers and their vehicles will dress in Christmas finery for a procession starting and finishing at the Morrisons car park in Lottbridge Drove. The route takes them to Langney Shopping Centre, then back to the store via Kings Drive and the hospital.

The rally has become a festive sight for people watching along the route while supporting the two charities. There will also be entertainment, food and a Santa’s grotto at Morrisons.
Participating vehicles should arrive at 5pm. The food van and grotto open at 5.30pm, before the procession forms up at 5.45pm and sets off at 6pm. Vehicles are expected to return at about 7pm, when they will be parked for judging. The event ends at 8pm.
Entry costs £20 per vehicle, or £100 for five or more vehicles.
Drivers can sign up on the St Wilfrid’s Hospice website. For rally enquiries, contact Kim Hatcher-Davies at Morrisons on 07875 547940.
