EMERGENCY services were called to an abandoned seafront hotel in Eastbourne after concerns were raised for a number of people seen on top of the disused building.
It happened at the Mansions Lions Hotel on Grand Parade on Saturday evening (31st January).
In a statement, a Sussex Police spokesperson said: “Police were called following concerns for a number of people on top of a disused building in Grand Parade, Eastbourne, around 7.30pm on Saturday 31 January. They safely returned to ground level.”
Police added that the incident was treated as a civil matter.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene to support police.
A spokesperson told Eastbourne News: “We were called at 8.14pm on 31 January to assist police with an incident at the Mansions Lions Hotel, Grand Parade, Eastbourne.”
An aerial ladder was rush from Brighton to assist the incident.
No injuries were reported, and those involved were safely brought back down without further incident.
