Around 60 residents confronted South East Water boss John Halsall at a public meeting in Heathfield yesterday (Friday), demanding answers over the future of the area’s water supplies.
The press were banned from filming inside the meeting, but Eastbourne News was there to hear the concerns raised.
The meeting, organised by Wealden MP Nusrat Ghani, saw residents question the water company over its ageing infrastructure, future investment and whether new reservoirs will be built to cope with thousands of additional homes.
