Eastbourne man charged with terrorism offences

A MAN from Sussex has been charged with terrorism offences as part of an investigation by Counter Terrorism Policing South East.

Mohammed Abdulkalik Fadil Alazawi, aged 35 of Bedford Grove, Eastbourne, was charged yesterday (7th March) with three counts of encouraging people to commit, prepare or instigate acts of terrorism, contrary to Section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

Alazawi has been remanded in custody and will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Monday).

He was arrested at his home in the town on Friday, 6th March.
