EASTBOURNE’S town centre and seafront iconic were brought to life today with the sounds of singer and pianist Chloe Marie Aston, who stopped off in the town as part of her ambitious challenge to busk in every town and city in the UK.
Known affectionately as the ‘Piano Bike Girl’, Chloe has become something of a viral sensation thanks to her custom-built mobile piano, which she pedals from place to place whilst busking on a specially adapted tricycle.
Her Eastbourne appearance saw her drawing crowds with her mix of upbeat covers and original songs, performed with her trademark energy and charm.
Chloe’s journey has already taken her through towns across Wiltshire, Somerset, and beyond. This week she has performed in Lewes and tomorrow she is heading to Hastings.
Speaking during her Eastbourne stop, Chloe told Eastbourne News: “I’m calling it my busking Mission, to busk in every town and city in the UK. I’d really like to take my music to the next level, hopefully perform at places likes Glastonbury and other big venues, and I dream of becoming a recording artist.
“I’ve had so many incredible experiences on the tour, and I love to coming to places like Eastbourne and performing to people in the streets.”
