IT has been announced that chart-topping British band Toploader will return to its hometown roots with a special Bank Holiday performance at Eastbourne’s iconic Bandstand.

The group will take to the stage on Monday, 25 May, promising an afternoon of live music at one of the town’s most recognisable seaside venues.

Music will begin from 1.30pm, with support from DJ Fergus, before Toploader headline the event later in the afternoon.

Best known for their global smash hit Dancing in the Moonlight, the band have enjoyed more than two decades of chart success, selling over two million albums worldwide and earning a reputation for their energetic, feel-good live performances.

Formed in Eastbourne, the band’s return to the Bandstand is expected to draw a strong local crowd, with fans given the chance to see one of the town’s most successful musical exports perform on home turf.

The concert forms part of the Bandstand’s popular summer programme, which regularly attracts both residents and visitors to the seafront venue.

Toploader shot to fame in the late 90s with their ‘Dancing in the Moonlight’ cover and over the past two and a half decades, they have performed all over the world, boasting gigs with the likes of Coldplay, Robbie Williams and Bon Jovi.
