POLICE say a high-visibility police presence is expected in Eastbourne tonight (15 December) following a reported stabbing in the town centre.
Police were called to Terminus Road at around 8.30pm after reports that a woman had been stabbed. She was taken to hospital for treatment, and her condition has not been confirmed.
Officers remain in the area while enquiries continue to establish the full circumstances of the incident and to locate a suspect.
Members of the public who witnessed what happened, or who may have captured relevant mobile phone, CCTV or dash-cam footage, are urged to contact police.
